Had a good night tonight! Went far too hard on the 1st lap (13.07 according to the Garmin) and consequently struggled on lap 2 but did ok on the last one! No dabs for a change!

just finished editing the photos and waiting for them to upload..in the meantime..what a race..some unbelievable fast times tonight, BON is on fire, a deserved win for Richard, some savage racing between Don and Rob Trench, the Mulveys are flying and and ALfie and Max were tearing strips off each other, not to mention the sprint finishes between Doris and Colm..some craic in Lambe doyles though, well done to the Timers and Graham , great job on the handicaps and the results !
Dry at last, happy days. You can blame me for the 2 seconds Max, not getting out of your way quick enough on the first climb. I thought I had entered the twilight zone when you and Alfie went by. Another great race though I'm just getting murdered on the climbs which a bit dispiriting. Great result Rich, well deserved, could not stay with you tonight, not just strong on the climbs but technically riding far better than previous years. Trenchy whipped me as well in the drag to the line, though I thought we were fighting for 15th or something! Getting to the race and getting home added another 40km on the road, I'm bet.
Thanks as Graham, Rob, Canto and Paddy, I'm sure you lads would have far preferred to be on the bikes tonight.
What a change tonight in perfect conditions. Finally into the 11 minute lap time holy grail. Very happy. Thanks to timers and all involved and the lovely god fella for the nice weather! Garcon more wine!
Thanks all, well done Richard, left work early and went home for a barbeque before the race so just parked in Enniskerry seen as Palmers is closed, it's not the same not going for a quick drink after the race is it....I really missed listening to all the crazy stories....and I'll catch you next time Terry, I know it's the climbs you're totally thrashing me on now.....great racing all round tonight, spent the last lap dying or thirst looking for a lost bottle and spent the way home looking for a lost cap (found the bottle, lost the cap...sure it's too hot for it this week anyway)....on the plus side I found a key for the power washer in the local garage so I cleaned my bike for free.

Man that was a fantastic evening on the bike, and great sitting out with a pint and a laugh after....gotta love this don't ya!

well first thing you do is ditch that fricking cardigan you are wearing, tight lycra will carve you into a god..stop hiding your manliness under that flappy gansey ! wear a jersey you believe you deserve and you will break your bollix to fit in to it..wear it to Mass, endure small children pointing at you in it, soak up the derisory glances of women until the Day comes they no longer point but cover their eyes with the glare from your sharp edges and you catch the same women measuring you up like some sort of sexual jigsaw..

Funny thing though the "cardigan" I was wearing was a cycle top that until 5 months ago I could hardly fit into, you lot are gonna cost me a whole new wardrobe soon :) My Epic top fits like a (very tight) glove!
