Brilliant craic this evening! The conditions were appalling but everybody who made the effort was in great form. Funnily enough I thought the course was riding really well despite the water everywhere and for me there seemed to be much more grip than last week!
We had such a laugh in Lambs after ..... Richie was at his entertaining best, Erika baked Oscar a lovely cake and we sang "Happy Birthday" and we had Morty and "The Culchie" back .... I haven't laughed so much for a long time!

where does one start..from the grim ride out to the Start with Steo, the horrendous conditions on the course but as Rich said still riding great, the 2nd lap was mental..a river had appeared on the finish climb and the rain was torrential..then on my final lap I got a massive clumb of muck in my eye and my rear wheel came out of the bike and I took forever trying to get the wheel back in squinting like a mad yoke ! then holding up ALfie on the singletrack as I tried to avoid banging in to every feckin tree in the place..to the sprint back to Palmers , the birthday cake, The Culchie , the craic..classic stuff..a big thanks to the timers and Graham for the results and the encouragement..well done to everybody, some club full of legends ! then Jack left when the Queens Anthem came on and my theme tune was decided..well done to new guy Chris on the win !
Thanks to Oz, Caroline and Rob for timing and encouragement, it was really appreciated in such miserable conditions. The puddles were getting bigger as we went around and you could feel the extra weight of the water in your shoes as you got towards the end. A night for "nutjobs" as my wife so eloquently put it. Really enjoyed it, thanks again to everyone.
Fantastic night, thanks to oz, Caroline, graham and Rob for the timing and cheers, very much needed to keep going last night, track was soaked but under all that water still riding well (even if I had a few spills). Great banter in Lambes as always. Thanks Rob for the hoodie!
Really enjoyed last night, thanks to the timers and shouters not a nice night to be standing around. A big thank you to Bryan who gave me a lift back with my bike after my brakes decided to stop workin on the last lap, don't think I would have made it back to lambs in one piece! Please let next week be dry?!

Damn, sounds like fun, it was not easy to drive past the Carrickmines exit last night at 6.30pm. You're all legends for racing in that. Looking at the results I would have a had a good dice with the Trenchy and RL.

Yeh ... we missed you Don! You might have been able to keep the Trench fella in check! Can't believe he deliberately tried to knock me off my bike as I gently passed him at the end of the 2nd lap! Afterwards he claimed it was because he had a worn tyre on the back of his bike and he had no control of his "rear end" ..... likely bloody story!

I don't blame him, I would have done the same, in the good old days we used to put moves on you! And Oz is right, you're too skinny, I'm going to start leaving pies on your doorstep.
First race and enjoyed every second of it!! Great craic the whole way round and back in Lambe Doyles! Attacked the first lap fast which made the second lap hard going taught I'd never see the top of the gully, then on the final lap I keep telling myself the finish was near and to push it out! It must be said its a excellent course and a credit to all who built it and maintain it!

Oh and Thanks to Alifie and Richie for sorting my bike out on Wednesday! Much appreciated all!
