Round 11 Results: Fair play!
thanks Shona, Caroline, Simon, Harri for timing and encouragement and to Megaphone Max for the music... great to race without rain, course is a bit schlompy in spots, it has had about three years rain in the last 11 weeks, reallly enjoyed it, thanks everyone...
Max's megaphone antics at the start were priceless, had no idea what he was saying but it was loud at least.
Well it didn't rain, and if we get a few more dry days the course will be much faster...
We could organise a club dig when the course does dry out to patch it up and make sure it's good and fast, I will look into organising wheelbarrows and bags of gravel!
Will be good to get the numbers back up now we have the timing and hanicaps working well...

great race to watch - some great battles going on all over the place, Colm and Garreth Batster had a battle to the finish line with a slippery root being the difference. Alfie looked as if he was just floating the bike over everything - smooth as melting butter. Micky made up a lot of ground over the course of the race. the President looked as if he was really enjoying himself throwing the bike around, hard into every corner.
Don was Don - relaxed, steathy and fast, Smithers was flying too, really busting his guts! Trenchy insists on using half a fork - still, it seemed to work well enough. Jay went the the shops. Erica kept smiling, Terry was spinning like crazy . . . you were all great to watch - Well done! Great race!!!!

I have a pain in me hoop with this forum, on both my Ipad and Iphone everytime I leave it for a min or so I have to re-sign in enter my name and password aaarrghhhh!!! Nerds help me please?!
Anywho, woohooo I finished the 3 laps, but I wanted my dodo and Mammy on lap 2 as I was fehulixed. I had a savage fast 1st lap again but blew me lights on the last 2, got a lovely pass on Ger on the last lap and kept ahead to the line.
The handicaps are nearly there, I caught Richard at the end of the 1st lap, but he only finished about a min behind me, so If he went a min earlier than me, thats me and him sorted for the handicaps simples hahahaaha!!
Great racing again and it was good to be actually racing the league again, its one tuff cookie, you can see the people who are doing it week in week out making big improvements.

Thanks to the starter and timers and Harri and Graham for shouts of support.Max's playing of AC/DC on the megaphone was nice!The ground was like treacle last night.I spent a hour before the race draining puddles on section 1 and in the gorse between section 2 and 3.Didnt make any differance as all of us got covered in mud anyhow.

What a fun race, I knew Lynchy was going to catch me and so he did on the last lap before the link section. I shadowed with him into the last section hoping the pressure would force a crash at the root, my entire race strategy hinged on that, but the fecker on those grippy Nobby Nics cleared it. Damnation! That mark 1 Mountain King is coming off the front, it's trying to kill me although I have become a master of controlling the front wheel drift. Toro going on for next week.
