The Forum is dead long live Facebook

Despite my best attempts at stirring up sh*t, posting nonsense and generally acting the maggot, I give up, the Forum is dead, except for the spins section and the occasional for sale Item it appears Facebook has supplanted the forum.

I think it's forum's in general Richie, MAD, IMBRC...even dare i say it, boards.ie....!

It still has it's uses for anyone looking into see what the club is all about, or who is not getting Facebook updates etc...

I've already penned a strongly worded letter to Mark Zuckerberg. The forum is like that old mangy dog that you love, but can't quite bring your self to put down, despite the smell off him. It doesn't help that the old wild men have all been banned, or had kids, or emigrated, or mellowed, and these new kids are all steenking nihilists with a sense of entitlement, they don't get agitated by anything. We will always have the memories of the classic forum battles, never to be matched or repeated.

Still, for spins news, reports and selling stuff it is my first port of call.

Well I still love "The Forum" but it does seem to be fading a bit!

The forum is great. no nonsense.
no bull**** adds for 'date your neighbours wife' or Asian brides with ***** enlargements or performance enhancing suppositories, just get your bike fixed at expert cycles, they are lovely lads.
I suppose people just don’t have as much time.
I dunno I’d miss it.

make it more like singletrack , get in a big bunch reservation riders with big opinions about everything and anything as long as its not mtb related !!

We could setup up the "Anything goes" section of the forum... post up whatever people want, with the possible exception of ***** enlargement using a Co2 cannister and a track pump?

Well I used to love calling everyone a Cnut, so Cnut off the lot of you, bring back the overshoes expert mac the knife, he always had good sh1t for sale...we should run a form fun page, where anything goes, total all out taking the total piss out of each other and only there so it doesn't get personal.
