Well now I'm not going to moan about there being hardly any EPIC members at the Rostrevor Enduro becuase we don't seem to have embraced the Enduro at all..but all I can say what a day, just me, Smithers, Shona, Jack , Orla and Gary ..5 incredible stages, Stage one was all the way around the peninsula and up the top and was long and fast..Stage 2 was ferocious..massive rocks, drops boulders, more drops boulders and ridiculous corners..then Stage 3 was a mixture of fast stuff followed by more rocky drops and gnarly corners..
4 was pedally and supersonic fast but the crowning stage was stage 5 a mental steep flowy downhill track with giant tabletops and monster berms !!
No queues, no messing around great craic and great support from James, Natalie and Rob Davis on stage 5..don't have a clue where I came , we hit the road because we were both knackered from Yesterday but I doubt i'll sleep tonight ! Its incredible up there..
your some man Smithers..when you arrived at Lambs this morning you were exhausted..you wouldn't even stop for Chocolate on the M50 and you were doing your random talking thing when you are bollixed but we got to Kilbroney and off we went up the killer climb of death ! it took 4 hours of nonstop riding before you nearly broke but fair play , well done...its definitely knocked Carrick off the top Enduro trail..and it can be ridden whatever the weather..
I can't believe you wouldn't let me stop to buy Ice Creams !

Stage 1 was OK but I always struggle to find my mojo on stage 1, stage 2 was knarly as hell with big drops and rocks everywhere. Got a branch knarled up in my rear block so had to get off and get it out. After that things just got better and better. I'm not even going to tell you what stage 5 was about cos if you weren't there you don't deserve to know! Let's just say it made every single inch of climbing worth it 10 times over
well said Shona..when I was coming down stage 5 , I was thinking " i need more inches, I need more inches.." jaysus , fair play some craic with the 4 of us going around today, Jack can't turn left or right , i never knew that !
Yep a deadly days biking, and will be a tough one to beat. Great fun riding around with the lads and Shona. Stage 2 was my fav, just pure gnarl all the way down, just fooking deadly......
