Epic Members:
As I'm sure most of you have seen, heard, read about.. its been a turbulent last few months*in the club of Epic, we are not going to go into any of the details or discussion, But we*have lost about half the committee with people stepping down and taking a break from running and being involved in the club. So the remaining members of the Committee would like thank everyone again for their massive efforts and time they have put in the club over*the years and Epic would not have achieved the success to date in running races, getting amazing race results and making everyone into deadly mountain bikes without them.*However we must move on and not let the club disappear and slow down. There are still four of us*on the Committee, BON, Jack, Smithers and Harri. We will be looking for a few new faces to*join us to add a fresh approach to the club in the near future.
however we need to continue and get the good vibes and feel back in to the club, the long*evenings and great weather are here so its hard not get out on the bike and ride / race*with your mates and fellow club members.*
We have the NPS round 6 in two weeks time which will be a deadly event in the great new venue of*the G-Ride at Glendalough house, which as the potential for other deadly races if this one*works out.
As always The club is mainly about the spins, we are determined to keep this going in the true*Epic style, riding to the Max..*
Currently we are running the XC spin on Tuesday, Thursday is the best race in the land, that is*the club league, racing on a deadly course whatever the weather; with great prizes at the*end of it. Over each weekend; Saturdays there is usually a intermediate spin on and Sunday as*always the main club spin each week.
With the spins we try and make them suitable for everyone but with the range of abilities in*the club this is not always possible and this is why we aim to have a club social spin each*month as a great get-together for the club. In addition we are happy to have more than one spin*on each day, and are happy for people to post about a spin they are going on, which might be more*suitable for either the faster or slower rides... its all about getting out on the bike with*your mates...
So that is the current state of the Club, we don't want to get bogged down in the past but together let's move*on and get out riding those bikes....
