Myself and Shona have just finished practicing for the Big Mountain Enduro event in Crested Butted this weekend. 6 deadly stages over the sat and sun. All the trails / stages are fooking deadly, chairlift up to the top just can't be beat.. a good mix of pedally stages and full on burms and tabletops.... all very ride able if you push yourself.
First days racing done. A bit of hanging around as everyone does one stage at a time... not sure why. But great buzz around the place.
Stages 1&2 were about 6 mins of hardcore riding, dusty and washed out burms. Stage 3 was a 16 min lung busting stage.
Shona is second in her Cat, I'm no where as the men are just savage rides in my age cat.

We do have a pedelly transition tomorrow, but its only a 1000 ft climb up the mountain....

This is an awesome place, there are tons of ladies we are set off last so there is a real sense of comradarie. There is even a ladies 40plus which is well populated. Its weird, just different to ireland, the stages are so long you'd never fit them all into one day but I do prefer the constant moving g of our enduro.
I am getting a little bored of 'i love you accent' and ' my ancestors are from ireland (but I dont k ow where)'
But all in all everyone is really nice and helpful and fu
So another savage day on the mountain, I got fourth and just missed on third from a local girl, but still very happy with the result and got loads of swag.... Jack had a great days biking, not sure in final placing. Not the best final stage for him, but still rode the red yoke to its limit...... Epic Ireland rocked the US of A........
