Great stuff Caroline. Results up mega quick as always. Thanks to the mulveys for timing. Lovely night for it. Was like holidays cycling home .

Thanks to mulvey bros, erica, alfie and georgie for starting, timing and shouting, thanks Caroline for super organisation. Towards the end of the last section i could see Ryan catching me, i thought i could finish before him, then on the hill, it was like a blur that passed me. I now have a fair idea how quick you need to be to do a sub 11 lap, well done everyone, great night, conditions weren't as good but course is riding very well.

Thanks guys for a great night racing. Big bike was fun and quicker than the race bike despite 2 offs where I got a bit over excited. Where did all those puddles come from, think we need to install a de-humidifier up there. Thanks to timers and starters and Caroline for the speedy results.

Well done everyone, it wasn't the return I wanted after the hols with a poxy puncture on the 1st lap :( glad my name is missing from the DNF list :)

Thanks Caroline, the timers and organisers - really enjoyed the racing last night as always. Wasn't expecting the ground to be so wet but keeps you on your toes.

That was some night last night.I got to Lamb's mad early,as did Colm McG and Ben.Clom's going to the club coarse via 3 Rock,and he gets me and Ben to go with him.3 minutes later going up past the Blue Light I'm struggling to keep up,these boy's are much fitter than me!!Anyway don't ask me ehat trails we did,I know none of the names,but I do know Ben gets a puncture.Fair play to him,he has it fixed in 5 mins.So we head back to the road,and go past Jonny Foxes,where the 2 boys again pull away from me,my heart rate's in the mid 170's at this this stage.So I catch up going down the hill to Kilternan school.All the while my start time is getting nearer!!So basically we go as hard as we can from the petrol station to the club course,Im in bits cycling up the hill and again my heart is coming out my chest.Arrive at the start line with 10seconds to my start time.
So I'm b0ll0xed and off I go,with Mel Spath for a racing buddy.Mel leads up the climb,but she lets me past as the start of section 1.The body recovers as the race fever takes over,and Im not doing too bad.At the mid point of section 2,over the tricky roots my chain gets caught in my chaincatcher,talk about ironic.So its out with the multi tool,move up the catcher,put chain back on and lower catcher back into position,about 1 min wasted.Put the tool back into my saddle bag and stuck the whole lot in my jersey pocket.Get going again but the saddle bag is digging into my back.
Get to the start of lap 2 and stop to get rid of the saddlebag in my pocket,but f me,it takes 30 long seconds to drag/rip and pull it out of my pocket!!Rest of the race is uneventfull until section 3 on the last lap.I can see Col Mc catching me,but there's no way I'm getting beat by him tonight,he's the one that got me late to the startline!!!So Carolines just ahead of me as we start the fireroad climb to the finish,Colms just behind!!So I catch Caroline at the the rocks/boulders,and I have to keep left,and I'd swear Caroline's moving out to force me over the roughest/hardest line as I struggle to get by her,then she calls me a "f4cker" as I claw my way past,lol.Get to the line just ahead of both of them and lie down in a heap!
Came home over Barneys with Colm P,and at the road were joined by Colm Mc,Oz and Oisin.My legs feel heavy and they drag me to Kilternan till Colm Mc and Oisin turn for 3 rock.The 2 lads then drag me to Stepaside where the 2 Mulveys catch us on their road bikes,so they drag us 3 mtbers along.Left at the shop and its the drag back up to Lambers,2 Mulveys,then Oz then me.Half way up Oz signals for me to pass him,so I struggle up onto the Mulveys paintrain.Just before the pub it gets steeper,I m thinking of giving up,but hang in there,then with the pub in sight it levels a bit,tthe 2 brothers are having a battle for the KOM,I join in and pip the lads to the line,with shouts of encouragement from Simon!!!Victory to the mountain bike!!
Thanks to the Mulveys for timing and the craic on the road,Ericica and Alfie and Georgie too for giving up their race to help out too.

a thoroughly deserved victory fair play mickey that was my evenings racing .it was good having you oz colm and chris as pacers

Thanks to the timing crew last night and Caroline for results.
Wasn't feeling it last night so gave up on lap 2.
Great spin up and over 3 Rock with Colm and Mickey on the way to the race though.
