In a moment of weakness last November I entered for the Enduro in Ticknkock in two weeks time on the 11/12th April.
So I wondering who else from the club is doing it?
I'm also not really sure what to bring or what to expect either. I've been trying to get out a bit on the bike but any of my spins have been very tame and not Enduro like so I really have to get my shit together.
I have a full face helmet and knee pads but probably could do with as much body armour as possible, does any one who is not racing in the day have any they could lend me?
Its all about the show the brighter and more multicolored you dress the faster you will go! Oh and you need a go pro don't think you will be allowed in without one! Also when you see a photographers looking cool is the most important thing even if this means slowing down to do so!
Training means you ride the shit out of the stages over and over again, so for the next two weeks make sure not to ride your bike anywhere else!
Follow this and you will be grand! or maybe someone who knows what they are on about will give you so decent advise but if not follow this!
Stevo is the enduro god. Get the fattest tyres u can, and don't let them put those stupid stickers on your bike as they're poxy hard to remove and slow u down.

That about covers the training for enduro'ing alrite!
Gareth - I cannot stress enough how important it is to look cool in front of the photographers! Also, shout "Eeeooww" as you pass by! Oh, and punctuate your sentences with "Brraapp" (whatever that means).
nice one Chris ! Gareth, come up to Castelwellen this sunday and find out for yourself ! And don't mind what nipples said about the stickers, those stickers are holding my zesty together.
Ha, this club is so xc, real bikers wear baggies and goggles! Ye, a big percentage of Enduro dudes are all about the bling, with their strange language and being all rad, me, I ride a black bike, wear an xc jersey, I'm quite as a mouse, generally fall off on the first corner and go like the clappers after that! 750mm bars, dropper, fat tyre up front (Alfie has all these things....), good balance and fitness is important too, 5 times up 3 rock is hard work especially after a practice day. Race day buzz is deadly and the I love the atmosphere at the end with everyone checking their times against their friends and drinking beer. Ye, Castlewellan this weekend, nice and short so a good one to start with, can't wait to send it......
