What a fecking day!! Could not have asked for better. Thank you so much to all the club for getting involved at every level to make the day what it was.
Not many people realise what goes on behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly on race day. It was great to see the new (and not so new!) committee and club members get involved. I hope that I don't leave anyone out, but my brain is fried at this stage, so apologies if I do. Huge thanks to Chris, who not only whoops ass on race day, but did so much to get the track ready as well as organising the timing, commissar, mc, and numerous other essential elements necessary to make it all work; Adrian VDL and crew for the sign on - great to be able to just trust in a bunch of people to get the job done with no fuss; Jack and Terry for looking after the underage races - all the kids seemed to have a great day; Terry and his amazing crew of marshals who did so much more than just marshaling, from the underage to the senior races all the way through to taking the tape down when all the racing was done; Max Power for all he does in the background, organising online sign-on and numbering, etc, for our race and the whole nps - not even being run over on race week could keep him down! - Alfie who did so much work on the trail, coorodinating help from Robin and team worc, and taping off the course on Friday instead of running his business; Caroline for getting all the prizes sorted and sorting out the signage for the course; and all of the club members who flew the Epic flag by racing today.
Well done BON, thanks for all your hard work. Great event and great day for the club.
I'm not sure of all the results as I had to head off after the racing but as far as I know Chris and Erica both won.
Colm had a great race in S3 and Conor was flying until he had an off. Mind you he recovered to finish really well too. I'm sure there was more good results too for Epic riders. Well done everyone.

Well done gang, savage stuff! Thanks to all the members who took time out over the last few weeks to go down and tidy up, trim back and repair the course. One comment I saw on FB sums it up really "the best event I've taken part in in 21 years!" Boom...

I really only got to appreciate all of the hard work in both organising the course and the event from the sign on tent, it really is a great achievement to organise and run an event of this magnitude with what appears to be comparative ease. I would like to offer my appreciation and congratulations to everyone involved for all of the hard work, it was great to be part of it and it is great to see some of the high praise coming from all quarters. Well done all.
