Hi all as promised at the AGM we are having a night race, it been two years from the last one and it was deadly.
The plan of action is park at Palmer and cycle up meeting at the normal start line for a 7:15 start
Mass start similar to the club champs with results divided into A,B and ladies cats.
3 laps for all
Open to club league regulars and friends of the club whom know the course
All self sufficient and suitable night lights essential
Fancy dress optional but not essential, more about having the craic than the result so stay safe please
Anyone fancy recording the results at the finish line?? (no timing be too cold and dark) if not I'll look after it but would like to race.
I can help out with the timing ive no night lights. Roo was recommending some from amazon. Can't remember the name though any suggestion appreciated. If me and one other could do it be great
Things look all good for Thursday just changed the time to 7:15 to allow people a little extra time to get there and sure if your there early get a practice lap in and drain a few puddles!!
I can help out with finish line - I've no night lights that will stay on my helmet properly - ordering the real McCoy magic shines this week so anyway ye I can help out so if u need?
Sounds good fun - I'll be along! A mate of mine Colm Bradley is interested also. Is it ok if he comes along? Good DH rider so want to see how he takes a bit of xc suffering :) Think he knows the loop but I'll show it to him beforehand anyway. Thanks.
