Well done to Kevin on his first Club race and his first win. The shape of things to come, i hope. Fantastic racing ..especially at the end when Sylvia destroyed Karlos on the line.
Mechanicals were all over the place, I saw Don ,Ken and Matt fiddling with their bikes.
But man what a race, I have to say, I'm extremely happy with the course, no let up whatsoever, the new bits are sweet, paul Cummmins AKS Daz Doorstep had me in knots taunting me as for The Club Skellington ...i could nearly touch you..feckin loved it, a big hats off to the Holy trinity of Mart T, Al, and Adam, those Orange jerseys kept me focussed..great stuff people, see you next week..
My mechanical was no more than a slowly dropping saddle, a quick tighten of the QR and it was tickety boo. That was simply an amazing race, a great turnout from a number of clubs, lots of regulars and new faces. I don't think I've enjoyed a race that much and was happy to finish after a rather haphazard /non existent training regime, and not last either i think. The course is simply magnificent, it simply gets better all the time, and not by chance either, uber kudos to Richie and his merry men for a truly outstanding contribution to the mtb scene. Thanks to the two Brians for the timekeeping and encouragement, it must be torture sitting on the sidelines watching the action when you could be riding. I'm buzzing and doubt I'll get any quality kip tonight, just brilliant.
That was class. I think us Tuesday night bunch where having trouble without our little breaks to regroup. Chuffed to have not blown up even had a bit of a battle on lap 2 and 3 with Gar McGuire. Cheers to the two Brians for the timing and the others at the start/finish line for the encouragement.

That was brilliant! i'd lots of fun last night. Thanks to all the guys behind it, Richie, Brian & Brian. Fair play to you it's feckin great! The track is class, never lets up, proof was in the glowing red faces at the finish line. Roll on thursdays each week....
Well unfortunately i cant be far from a WC or long grass for anymore than 10min for the last foookin week. Im in bits.. dont ever get hot spice chicken rolls in sloopervalue..bad buzz.
If you do decide to try one leave a fresh toilet roll in a nearby fridge you will need it.
Anyway on a more positive note il be back in saddle for next thursday all going to plan.
