Marshalls Round 2 NPS 1st May 2016

Hi all

I will be organising the marshals for the NPS on the 1st May 2016 being hosted by our club Epic MTB at Djouce Woods (Co. Wicklow)

I need a commitment from people to do marshalling during the races and practice laps plus entrance and parking areas.

What's involved
Being stationed at a designated point along the track for safety, directing competitors / public and managing the safety of riders and spectators.
Or
Meet and greet at entrance and direct to correct parking areas.

On the day I hope to have enough volunteers to have 2 groups of marshals so that anybody who wishes can race
First group for the morning races / practice ,entrance / car parking
Second group for afternoon race / practice /removing tape track signage
Of course you can volunteer for both groups if available

To marshal for the AM or PM or both
Please let me know which you are available for.

This is an event being organised by your club so it is up to you get involved in anyway you can on the day or prior to the event if your not able to marshall do not worry there are plenty of other jobs that will need doing and will be advertised here on forum so please do your bit so we can live up to our billing of "Irelands Premier MTB Club"

Hi Terry I'll gladly help out for the am race marshalling

I'll do the sign on again

I'll do the pm slot Terry.

Did sign on last time. Can do it again this time

I'll gladly help out too , I don't know the S3 race time yet but I'd say wil be after 12 so probably the morning I cud Marshall

I'll do something on the am slot.

I am likely to be in the US for a conference, but if I'm in country I'll definitely help out, I'll liaise with Terry closer to the time

I should be available for this - happy to marshall the senior races as I'd imagine most of the club want to race in those. Will happily squeeze in a morning S4 race if that is permissible in an epic jersey

I kinda want to do the same but reckon the abuse would be too much if I joined the fat lads and bangers in S4.

Your right there tons of abuse should be riding S2 sure you where 10th in Djouce nps last year

I can Marshall pm and if we're short am, let me know. I can do the same as last year.

Sorry - I'll be abroad on family hols on the day of the NPS but I'll help out in some other way leading up to the event. Ill keep on eye on the forum for jobs. Vinny
