Well by Jesus that was tough racing in savage heat but well worth it. The course is amazing. A proper mountain bike course with loads of techy stuff including drops, gap jumps, and plenty of rocks and roots.
I'm not sure how everyone got on yet, but I do know that Alfie is once again national champs in the M30 category, so well done to the living legend. Doris got a hard won 3rd place in M40, which is savage considering you are up against Robin.
Well done to all who raced and to all the members who cheered us on. Sitting here now with a nice steak and a few cold beers. Heaven.

Well said, all the above. Hard day. lesson in riding your own race. about 5 Peter Sagans in front of me and lost them after the first climb bar one. settled in for the second lap but cramping legs, never happened before. Lungs were still good. on my own for the rest of the race, happy to finish. the kids in the woods shouting encouragement at the drops kept me going. loved the flowy bits but none stop peddling. Sorry Terry didn't get a race and hard luck Mickey. Great to see the lads doing so well , delighted with the turn out and club spirit.

Up to support, there was a good buzz about the place obviously fantastic weather helped. Amazing course and venue up there class singletrack and great racing a hard fought win for me today with Paul Caldwell pushing me all the way to the line great to see Bren and john up on the podium too

Brillant result Alfie (I'm not sure how Brendan got on, but probably won). It was very close with Paul for most of your race, which made it exciting to watch.
In my race , the first 6 lads took after Robin , which caused a lot of suffering and later it settled down. Glad with a podium place.
