As the big day is fast approaching and all the course prep and behind the scenes work is in full swing its time to make sure we have enough marshals and helpers to ensure such an important day for the club runs as smoothly as possible, for that to happen its going to take us all to pull together and get involved for at least a few hours each. Its a tight schedule with back to back racing and practice sessions all day from the kids races at 9:30 up until the last race finishes at 17:30, so having enough volunteers is critical to make it all run like clockwork.The plan is to rotate marshalls throughout the day to (1) allow people to race and have adequate time to get race ready and (2) so nobody is stuck in one spot for the whole day, but this will only be made possible if we have enough bodies to spread about. Sorry if I am going on a bit but we need have a good crew on the day.
I will post a list of all who have kindly said they will help out on the day and update it throughout the week, so if everyone on that list can pm me a mobile number and email address it would be great.
Can anyone on this list please let me know what category they intend to race and for how long they will be available for on the day as this will help me sort out whos doing what for how long.

I'm spectating at the kids at 9.30, then free to marshal / help till sports race, then free to marshal / help from then on till the very end

my pennies worth:
Gary & I rode the course on Sunday - its a lot of course to marshal with a good few pinch points where riders meet walkers which could see up to 4 marshals being around those areas alone
we really need as many club members to step up to the mark on this to make this race both safe and professional for everyone at it
