Hi guys, with the race day fast approaching and all systems in full swing its time to see where we stand for the day with marshals/volunteers. Thanks in advance for all who have offered to get stuck in.
We spent a good few hours in the park yesterday getting it in shape and as the day went on it got very busy with no end of walkers and dog walkers so I cant stress enough that we need all the help we can get throughout the day to keep it a fun and incident free day for racers and members of the public alike. We have a fair few names down already but between taping out, installing planks, last minute course prep, setting up the race village and getting everybody into positions will make for a few hours of mayhem for the chosen few so please if at all possible arrive at 8:00. We have no shortage of Marshals for the A race and Ladies race but we will struggle for the B race as most of us will be taking part in it and to be honest its probably the one that will need the most marshalling due to a larger number of participants. So it would be great to get a few more names down to ensure it all goes well for the club.
As Terry said in his previous post it makes sense to bring clothes for all conditions and no harm to bring some food and most importantly a fully charged mobile phone.
I will go through a few straight forward guidelines with everyone before we start.
Can anyone who is on this list or who is planning to help out please send me your mobile asap as I can add you to a group just for a few days, dont worry it wont turn into one of those annoying groups that people tell each other about what they had for lunch. Its just for a few days.
We will have a Hi Viz vest for everyone and two way radios for the marshalls furthest away from the race village.

Will be racing the As later in the day. Can help out with the Bs in between getting a practice lap or 2 in before the race
