leadmines laughter

I went up this morning for a pre-work (seriously slow; like picture slow then divide that by ten) spin and I had my Sabre Saw strapped to the outside of my tiny back-pack (making it a good bit longer than the bag), so I went into the 'tunnel' section after section 2 and saw (no pun intended) that Terry had been busy trimming - so I just did a few more bits to help tidy it up more, anyway, out of the blue a nice lady approached and said I heard the saw and I'd come investigate - she was cool, I said 'I'm just trimming so no one walking or anything gets it in the eye' she was like 'you should call coillte they'll do it' I said 'ah sure tis only a bit of trimming' anyway off she went - glad it wasn't the 'Pink Lady' god knows what would have happened.

so, with time not on my side I decided to cycle home via the road - rivers everywhere - and just as I came around the corner towards the back side of the leadmines - who do I see the pink lady - ah shit! I'm thinking I'm on my cross (looks like a road) bike, I'm on the road what could possibly go wrong. . .

so, I could see her ahead so I thought - I'll go full stealth mode - no gear changes, no braking, no breathing, and what the flip does she do - without looking walks straight across me I just avoid her- she gets a fright I say 'Morning . . .' (as it is indeed morning) and she says 'sorry' (incredibly) however - then the sh1t hit's the fan, as i pass she starts screaming 'why have you a sword on your back?'

Well how do you respond to that - I cycled on as fast as I could (I was flaked so not very fast) with her shrill tones ringing in my ears . . . thinking she's calling the cops and I have a non-concealed weapon (i.e. a wood and plaster saw from woodies that cost a tenner). Scheesh the stress . . .
More like leadmines massacre... you out with your Samurai sword again... as regards 'the tunnel' all credit to Hannah and Darragh who helped me and Clare cut back the gorse last weekend during a walk.... my kids are always sceptical about our family walks these days for some reason. At least I didn't have the chain saw this time.

All sorts of gods and magical people between me and crazy people on spins ... particularly when on special missions :-) ... that woman will be talking to Joe later I expect... the world is a mad place for some folks.
Ah good man Donagh - great work, yes I've been telling mine all week we're going trail building - the weather kinda messed it up all week!

yes - some peoples view on the world is very different and every view point that isn't theirs is very problematic and must be stopped. . .
