For those of you accessing the forum from a smartphone or tablet, I think it's safe to say that Tapatalk is the best way to do this. The app is free to download from the App Store or Play Store - and allows full access to all posts and private messages in the forum with a phone-friendly layout. You can search the archives, etc., and easily upload reasonable quality photos from your phone. I certainly recommend it.
If you don't use Tapatalk already here are the steps to get you up and running. The pictures are from an iPhone, but should be fairly similar for Android.
- Download the free version of Tapatalk from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Click on the Tapatalk app or use the shortcut j.mp/epicspins to launch the app.
- I ticked Allow Notifications when asked
- You need to register with Tapatalk itself before you can login to Epic. Use your FB or Google login or your email address to register with Tapatalk. This Tapatalk login does not need to match your forum login.
- Politely decline the VIP Support.
- Check your email for "Welcome to Tapatalk" and click on the 'Confirm' link
- Once your email address is confirmed hit 'Get Started' in the app
- type in 'forum.epicmtb.com' and select Epic
- Now login to the forum using your Epic username and password.
- Now just click on EPIC MTB and you're in.
- You can also use Tapatalk to manage your access to other forums you use.
- Tapatalk insert random adverts between posts, worst case after every 5th post, but you won't even notice these after a couple of days.
- Tapatalk also adds an advert in your signature so it's in every post you make. Remove this by going to Me > Settings > Signature > Off.
- Finally, this is what the home screen may look like - thereâs only one useful link:
