Well done Robert and Colm, great results , fair play not holding back on the slippery descents, which I found fine ...at a slower speed. The dry dusty conditions here were great, but tyre choice at the race made conditions super slippy. Great day out with a good Epic turnout.
Deadly venue and course, plenty of mud and greasy descents . I arrived 20 minutes before my start time with the wrong tyres and things didn't go to plan. Felt better as I went on but was just too slow descending. Wasn't the result I wanted but learned lots over the 4 races. Great result for Colm
So my first time on a mountain bike this year, I've been on the road bike all year(sorry). Had a chat to Graham Hand about categories and S3 was the place to be, S2 is stacked with really strong riders at the moment. From my road fitness I thought I could possibly do well in S3 but all the experienced lads in front of me proved me wrong! Had a good start with 3rd into the first single track but on the next fire road I realised I was in the red and 10 riders passed me within a kilometer, heart breaking , I came to shortly after but the damage was done, worked hard and was fast on the fantastic downhill single track so managed to pull back a good few riders to finish 6th.
Well done Emmet after a rushed start, 5th and 3rd overall in the series. Good bants with Colm McG, Kevin M, Mickey D, John D, Paul C pre race. Great to have Terry Beard shouting us on!

Another fab round of the NPS, sorry now that I only managed to do 2 rounds. This was a real old school course, plenty of rocks, roots and slippery sliddery mud, great fun!

Great set up by the local club and all expertly managed by Martin & Caroline, really recommend doing these, it’s a great day out!
My report from the biker on the ditch position great venue for Spectating the down hill from the top certainly not for the fainted hearted the riders certainly gave the watchers something to view with all the different styles of riding from full on Enduro speed flight in the air to sitting on the cross bar dragging feet along the ground

The fact that the forest is beech and not the normal fir also gave the whole place a different atmosphere
And also the field was a great place for a picnic and afternoon tea before heading home
