There won't be a club race this week as we re going to have a timed lap in Djouce, so be there or be square.
there is no lock on the barrier so park in the Carpark,
The timing team need to be there, you know who you are.

Rode another 2 laps today in the scoarcing heat with 1st lap = 29:10 mins with a tumble comming down one of the new bits at the back and 2nd lap = 28:30 mins, Should be fun sunday, Looking forward to it.
bear in mind also there will be an extra section in and out of the field..probably add a few minutes.
So its looking like 3 for masters ,3 for vets, 4 for elites...we'll decide Saturday..
4 laps for hardened-the-feck-up Masters if it's dry - go on, go on.
people will be enjoying it so much they won't even notice the laps passing....there's gotta be a balanced reward-to-pain ratio, that's where the 4th lap comes in, grunts and guffaw in equal measure, that Foxglove-alternative climb is brilliant, Skippy has the contract for the new toll bridge over the Liffey, and that widened-the-feck-out climb is great too - sure it feels like a descent pointing upwards...

Quite right Fergal, Us hardened and fecked up masters like mountainbike racing, Not some 1.3 hr cyclocross sprint, Its too much fun to only do 3 laps, Unless you want to call us the mastersports, The K cup was 3 laps and it was raining, hailing, and snowing and they were finishing in 1:34. The laps I did yesterday were also in along the fence near the feild and across by the barrier where the Kcup went, So add 1.5 mins for the field bit and it should bring us to 30 ish minute laps, also considering Im not at my best form. it needs a lap to sort it self out, And then thats when the racing begins. I reckon 2 laps for sports, 4 laps for vets, experts and masters, and 5 or 6 for elites, By all means if its lashing rain drop a lap, Its gonna be to nice a day to do otherwise.
by the way, if you are coming tonight park in the car park, there is no lock on the barrier since scobies cut it off..

some dingleberry was parking across the entrance the other night..
can you imagine the damage an old landrover with a monster towbar could do to your beige primera if you got in a certain persons way..

theres a hole i want to fill and some soft bits i want to harden up..they've been keeping me awake at night so I will be heading down to the bottom of the foxglove climb to fix them..
I will be back up for the start of the timed lap at 7.00..
wow - that was intense but very enjoyable, very nice touch-ups done on the course - well done lads, everything flowed so well, including the blood from poor Karls leg!!
That Roo lad is lethal, everyone make sure to get into singletrack ahead of him

what kind of hell-spawn bike was Byrner riding tonight? it frightened me just looking at it....
yeah...the lap is magnificent..i am amazed by the dryness..amazed///but evening time in djouce with them poxy midgies..

i'll be up there tomorrow evening agian to do a bit of a job on the entrance to the chute of death..if anybodies around meet me at the car park at 5.30..i'll be pedalling over as I have tools over there..
