It was a feckin deadly race, over 70% single track and about a 50/50
climbing/descent split
Well done to Brian as he hadn't pre ridden the course and he didn't give up
yeah it was a great race on a fecking deadly course. the single track over there was just so fun to ride. was doing really well and flying, had a deadly over the handle bars moment about halfway. Then near the end young kev caught me. He must have been flying down the decents as i didn't think he was going to catch me. but he did and zoomed on by.
The the event was so well run, and shows how mtbing events can be run if supported correctly. all levels of riders out fro either a 47km race or just a long spin. lots of volunteers all the way around making sure people went the right way.and at the finish line, loads of free food and drink for the riders. with most of the local shops giving some form of sporsorship.
I even won a spot price. a muilt-tool and bike computer and others people won even better prices.
