The Blast story so far

First i'd like to thank everybody who has dug parts of the trail..its much appreciated..
Secondly volunteer to help on the day if you haven't dug, i realse some of you are busy with stuff but come on, you're in the Club..its the EPIC signature event.
Some support would be appreciated ..
Richie
Nice one Richie, now go and burn that front tyre and get your brakes fixed, loonatic!! That was brilliant today, the trail is insane, a roller coaster from beginning to end with every kind of challenge along the way, from uber fast to uber technical, yet everything is rideable if you have some experience under your belt. Some of the features are awesome, Bon and Roo should get an award for theirs, trailbuilding at its best. It has been a spectacular effort by a lot of people, and will be enjoyed by everyone who gives it a go. Everybody needs to attend this event, you will never forget it and by the end of the day, you will feel like a God.
yes..note to self..do not buy Intense tyres..that one wore down frightenly fast..i have a Maxxis Minion i bought in Morzine in constant use and its beautiful..just beautiful..that Intense yoke has been in less use and its dead..
hats off to Ron and Boo from Joinsters inc..it'll be Jagermeistersbomberators all round at the AGM..
theres been loads done, but i am very disapointed with some peoples commitment to the cause..
Luckily I've managed to steal muscle and imagination from other Clubs..
but as usual some club members have carried the whole show..they know who they are..
I have to say the Ladies ( and Elvis o'reillys) jumps on the firebreak are deadly ..
That was also the first time i rode off the top of the mountain..
Indeed some fine work going on. The stuff in the gully is nothing short of cool.

Pity some lad on a jumped-up Vespa went and disturbed the trees myself and Sean so carefully used to block the routes round some of the handiwork on the big firebreak.

Anyone who can successfully jump the Al/Mark/Gav series should be given a medal!

And them Jagerthingummies, I have a solution to the drain they have been causing on the club's finances. In future, all drinkers will have to consume one pint of Harp prior to each Jagerbomb. That'll slow things down a bit. Or get certain people even more mowldy - either way it's good.
Alan..i knew sooner ot later you would fcuk up..
Mouldy is spelt Mouldy...not mowldy,,,have you been mixing the harp with the West Coast Cooler..?
People try to remember that the them for the blast is speed, speed combined with jumps ( waist Height at last from now on ) and some swoopiness...
Actually, this is the use of phonetic spelling. You have to pronounce the w for effect, like as in the difference between now and no. Or ow and oh. Maybe it's just a northside thing, but there is definitely a difference between saying mowldy and mouldy. One is an extreme of drunkenness, the other is how your tent ends up if you pack it away whilst still wet.

West Coast Cooler - I tried that once. It made me appreciate Harp, Bavaria, Dutch, Linden Village and even Taunton Special Vat. Ritz is probably the only thing worse.

Was "the them for the Blast" meant to be the theme? ;-)
Scooter boy fixed up your chicane Bazil. I did not realize it was strategically placed there.. inallinanyways its sorted.
But on the subject of that fire break..should it not be left wide open for a overtaking point at speed then down over Ricardo jumps for some big air??
Its definitely mowldy, I've never been mouldy drunk before, maybe its worth trying though?

As for Harp, I'd prefer to drink monkey piss, although I probably couldn't tell the difference, (between it and monkey piss I mean, not between it and normal beer).
Myself and Aimi rode the track yesterday, it's schlompy but it's deadly... there's loads in it and it's all nicely spaced... I really liked it...

We just missed yiz actually...
Thought I saw your motor parked near the car park at Djouce?

Skippy the thinking is that there is enough open fast section on the flat bit leading to the two jumps the girls built; up higher we were looking for more little obstacles.

Yellow beer all tastes pretty much the same to me. Apart from Budweiser and Coors Light, which have no taste at all.
Now,
A co-ordinator for the food is needed..somebody to take charge of getting it all together and bribing the chefs and sandwich makers.
It may not be digging jumps or carrying buckets, but its still vital.
theres 99 members, some have contributed zero, wake the fcuk up.
We also need Marshalls.
No more diggers are needed. the track is dug and the people who have ongoing work don't need to be kicked as they are of a rare breed.
This is history people
Its not 3 laps of a forest or 1 minute down a hill..
Its a chance to prove once and for all that you deserve to be in EPIC.
