XC race support

Ok folks, something to think about. I've been busy at the recent races doing my mc and Commissar thing but some things need to be more organized.
We have several high powered racers in both sports and age Categories and we need to be better prepared.
We need people to support the sports racers and people to support the Age cats.
We are a Club, we need to be backing each other up and doing bottles and calling out time gaps and placings.
Volunteers need to pm me please .
This means going to the races and cheering , handing out bottles and manning the tech zones.
You are also not using the tech zones.
You need to realize that ;
You are not allowed any outsides assistance in the race that includes taking a spare or a tool from anybody unless they are a Club Member . You have to use the parts / tools you have on you or in the tech zone.
You have to follow the race lap to the tech zone to replace your broken parts.
Understood.
And thats also the only place somebody can give you food and water !
theres actually more rules than I can remember !!
But this is the stuff you people need to know!

Right, this is one of the most important jobs that needs to be addressed in the club during the race season.
Anyone interested is welcome but ideally we want members who are out on spins, normally with Gary, and are thinking about racing next season. You will get an amazing understanding of how races are run and what you need to be thinking about to prepare for next season.
I will take charge of the first group this Sunday. I can even offer two a lift down.
We will then choose the most level headed person to take charge from then on. They will be the EPIC Pit Boss for the rest of the season.

hi luke this jeff new member have`nt been out on a spin yet with gary waiting to see what the story is for tomorrow but being a new member i would like to help in anyway i can even keeping an eye on the clouds

A big thanks to yesterday's Pit Crew; Sophie, Killian, Bruce and Harri!
Great to see lads doing a little bit to help out after their own race.

I know all the senior riders really appreciated it. Nothing like a friendly face, some fresh water and mild abuse to keep you going!

Harri will be the 'Pit Boss' for Killarney!

Bruce running up the fireroad screaming after Rossco when he missed the hand off was the highlight of the day!

Hello pit crew..
In the future can somebody take it upon themsleves to remember the laps EPIC riders have left and where they are in the race..As the Commisssar I have to be impartial ( practically impossible, I know, but what are you going to do, nobody else will do the frickin job!!)
its simple..
For example
" Alfie, you are winning and you are on your 2nd lap, Damo is approx 30 secs behind you"
" lynchy, you are 10 secs off Smithers, he is fading and you are on your last lap !"
" Micky get your arse in gear, you are in 15th spot with 2 laps to go "

The Categories are number and colour coded..memorise them..
That is all !

Need helpers too, I'll be at all the remaining NPS races, if there were a few bodies who'd volunteer to do all of them for the remainder of the year then we - as a group - could organise ourselves better.

I'll be at the rest of them, I've done my Sunday famil duties on the last two so it's me time. Give me a job, I'll try not to fcuk it up!

But really, do yourself a favour and get a folding-chair, I'll get some clip boards & that, & we'll be away!

I should be still be around to help, not sure when I'll get my mojo back for racing.
