As far as I know we now have a number of REC qualified members in the club. As great as this training it becomes f all use very quickly if not practiced.
I learnt this the hard way on Sunday when a rider turned blue on me and almost passed out. I remembered enough to control the situation but it also reminded me how quickly a situation can escalate and everything you've learnt just goes out the window.
I would like one of our recently qualified members to step up and orgainse a number of refresher scenario's over the coming weeks. It would just mean taking 10min before a few spins to go through the basics.
These would also be very helpful for anyone who will be marshalling at the nationals in July.
