Well done on running this event...from digging to timing and Marshalling and racing, very impressive.
Some people gave up their holidays to get this event ready, some people organised their whole year around this.
Some of those people were not even Members of EPIC !!
This was the biggest event and best event in the history of Irish Mountainbiking..
It could not have been ran without the commitment of the members.
Unfortunately some members did nothing..which meant the ones that did had to take up the slack they left.
Pack your bags, you won't be back in 2011..
I hold up Stewart Carr as an example.. new baby and new business and we could not have run this without him.
Injured members standing all day marshalling, medal winners taking down tape and cleaning up after the event !!
When you join this Club..you are expected to help ,regardless of the event !
I know of one man who gave up a win in his first sport to attend today so he could get a 4th place.
I practically broke the Culchie pushing a wheelbarrow, the same with DaveM..as for Killian and John RIchardson..Jesus !
I personally must have spent €500 on Diesel, wore out a Chainsaw and an Axe..
Took my life in my hand at least 3 times , drummed up several thousands in euros..took a week off work..
endured rain, sunburn and savage midges, nearly fell out with my best mates and my family..
and some people did nothing..not a thing..not a word of encouragement, not a mail of support, not an offer of help..
yet I gave them Scarr, Camaderry, the Ewoks, The Best descent and The Blast..and don't forget..the words of encouragement, the waiting i did on spins, the coaxing, the Beginner Spins, the SocIal Spins ! The Development races, the CLub League !!
Thuis was your CLubs biggest ever event and you did nothing !! you know who you are.
