ah you can't beat it..well done to Bren on his first ever club race..even though she was slippy and skittery ..it was farkin deadly, plus Richard had a real conniption and Jack and Shona are going out together for real !! kissing and all they are !! even though they know the golden rule that two Gingers can never occupy the same bed at the same time, they are taking the chance..thats real love there folks !!
I must be mad but today was the club race I enjoyed the most this year! Maybe it was because I was back on my XC bike after a long break and it felt like going 10x faster than on the big one. Loved the sideways skiddery action as well, that's the real MTB sh*t!
A big thanks to the timers Shona,Carol and Alfie for the encouragement,plus Jack for starting us.Did'nt enjoy the race,I hate getting wet!!But the craic in the pub afterwards was brillant,more than made up for the mud and rain.Great gang of people in this club for a laugh and a joke.thanks,Micky

yeah the state of the cripples doing the timing..Team St Vincents !!! The craic in the pub is legendary ,, it gets better everytime !! I bet Lynchy is at home now full of bulmers standing in the sitting room in his Calvins rubbing his thighs a la Richie Byrne Durty dance , with his tongue sticking out of the side of his mouth trying to coax Tracy into a bit of middleaged hanky panky !!

Savage little race tonight, still on the ragged edge, a couple of silly dabs and even the granny ring got used on that bike for the first time, not pretty. But hey, no punctures and happier to be tubeless again. Had an ongoing dice with Migual from the get go but he turned on the jets for the last section and I was blown, great stuff. Sorry to whoever it was that a nearly rode over in the gorse section, didn't mean to stand on your wheel! But if you crash, haul your bike out of the way pronto!
Well done Killer, you banger, he really should be going off with me and Brendan!
And what's the point in having a light bike when at the end of the race your shorts weigh 5 pounds with the water and mud, gotta get some bib shorts.
