If you can give me a hand, that would be great..i'm going digging at these times as it suits me.
However I expect to see a heap of EPIC members out Saturday 18th.
Big Vinnie and the Jumps on the mattock Expressway will be revived on the Saturday.
Coillte are felling around the course so I've had to postpone the digging plus theres very little enthusiasm for this years Blast from the members, as usual all i'm getting help from are the usual people, which is unfair on them, so I have lost all motivation.
I won't be available for digging (or spins) from this Thursday until next Thrusday (my family is coming over for a visit) but I'm still ok for Friday the 17th and Sat the 18th.
I need a couple of petrol strimmers for work on the Saturday 18th in the finish area !
I have a pertol strimmer, I will strim all of the finish area from last year on the 18th. I reckon I can do this on my own, so mark this off your list.
for digging trails..regardless of whether they are xc/dh or general..you need a wheelbarrow, failing that a builders bucket
a shovel, better than a spade but sometimes a spade is good
a decent rake - the best rake you can get , rakes are the most abused piece of kit
a set of loppers
a bushsaw
and most of all a mattock
and one more thing..find a replacement for me..after this escapade i'm finished with digging !!
Really sorry guys, I've just bee reminded that I promised my wife I would bring her up to the Phoenix park and wave around a Mexican flag to support her running the Dublin half marathon on the 18th so I can't make it.
I can get there really early on Sunday tho if its any help? or if anyone is going up this weekend to dig I'm free to help.
