theres a bit of concern about what cat to be in.. this is what I think.
Elites is a toughie but heres my suggestion.
As I'm not convinced some people are ready and pressure can be a terrible thing.

Now this is a rough guide..I can only really go on whos training and whos on spins. I can't think of everybody either but you get the picture.
I'd be very wary of jumping in to a Cat above your experience .
theres lads in Senior 1 who could go Elites but if Joe,Evan and Bob go Elites , nobody will beat Bob and the other 2 would be extremely difficult to keep up with. You may get a nose bloodier than you want.
Senior 1 and senior 2 will be the best category, some of you are in senior 2 because I think you need a boost to your confidence and you ill get a brilliant race out of it.
me and Alfie want you coming back to race.
I can only really judge people based on watching them for a long time. Don't be offended if you think I downgraded you. I haven't a clue how well you will go come race time but I know how the lads will go for sure in the Elites and I really feel you have to earn Elites.
Greg is in there because he is a very special talent and I think he'll do it justice.
Anyway i hope this helps.

Sorry John, there you go..I actually thought of you but for some reason didn't stick you in there.
Now some of you are capable of moving up, but you need to get the finger out ! Some of you would benefit with some experience outside the top two categories and aim to get up there.
I am biased, i don't want to see riders just filling the gaps, i want to see results.
This is a guide, kids. I'd be more than pleased for you if you proved me wrong upwards.
So is vets still a category? as it looks like it's harder than senior 1.
Eoin Keith would eat most of those lads for breakfast,
And carry the scraps leftover in his backpack to Galway for his lunch!
yes, thats why I put you in Senior 2, you'll get a fierce race there. Micky and Eoin might pick Senior 1 but I think Vets should do Senior 2 or Vets ( exception being John Doris).
and if those guys ride senior 2 that I've listed, well then that would be a stupendous race.
Think about it.
Like the senior 2 means I can drink more and still have a stab at it.
I've never won anything and taking on max etc would kill me,so I think I've got my mind made up, and not because I think I can win,but because I really want some good tight racing, thats what I'm after.
No bother! I'll possibly get hammered but was gonna give senior 1 ago. Might just use the Blitz and the Leinster league as a guide and make a decision on the Nps after that!
to be honest I was reluctant to post this list but the pressure got to me from people, so there you are.
Otherwise my patience will run out !
If i keep going the way I am, i'll be racing Elites, which in my opinion at 48 years of age, is just plain stupid and a poor testimony to the state of XC racing in Ireland.
I'm abandoning the whole XC NPS farce after this year.
The megaA and the Roc will be my Race season in 2012 !!

thats a good plan but look who you're racing in Senior 2 and look whos racing in senior 1.
but as I said , this is a guide for you. Get offended people , make me eat my words for suggesting you are in Senior 2.
Just don't quit before you start.
Nothing would please me more , you bunch of lazy feeble wasters !!
and Terry, imagine getting hammered by somebody in Senior 2 because you had a load of drink and Jazz Cigarettes !!
I think i'd have to abuse you for at least 10 years.
The Blitz is not a good idea to gauge yourself..its not going to reflect real racing !!
Maybe we'll have a Club race before then ?
Well, I'm happy enough with that, if anything there will be fantastic tight racing and there's nothing like seeing the guy/guys ahead of you to make you dig deep to catch them instead of sitting mid field with nothing in front to aim for.
