NPS round 1 track description.

for anyone racing the XC NPS round 1 in louth, heres a description...

98% single track apart from the start and stuff , first section a switchbackey climb for about 5 mins then its all just fast and flowey trail with a pretty sketchy huge drop but its more for big travel bikes, Then a big gap jump, But theres a run around both of them so you dont have to do them unless Richie's watching. 70% of it is on hardpack stone and the rest is muddy rooty stuff ! Its basicaly a DH XC track if ya could imagine it not much climbing and NO fire roads !...
thats coming straight from a chu chulainn member, so it should be accurate, hope its useful.

NO PRACTICE THIS WEEKEND for anyone thinking of getting sneaky practice, Motocross and airsoft have the forest, which is on private grounds, insurance and all that. not sure about the saturday before the race.
Yes - there's is practice the day before the race:

The course will be open for practice from 10am to 1pm on Saturday the 2nd and because of the technical sections it is highly advised.

we'll be up there sessioning the gap jump in lycra and full faces if anyone wants to join our pits (MADMTB pits will be in the gap)
Id say each lap is around 25mins, I havn't been but thats generally average... and i'm not sure CI would approve of a spike pit mid trail :)
Will sign-on & race numbers be available on the Sat if people head down o pre-ride the course?
personally I think pre riding it before the race day is cheating. Its not a fookin DH race.
