How did that creep up so quickly? All my fancy plans to arrive fit and strong at race 1 kind of went out the window so I think know already which rounds I'll be dumping. On the upside the bike has never looked so bling and I have gold shoes, so it's not all bad.
Sorry Don... but in the interest of safety its been postponed... there have been reports coming in that there is a rock on the course... a committee meeting has taken place to decide on what action to take.. whether to go around the rock, over the rock or relocate the rock to a safer place..
Rider's are asked to proceed with extreme caution and be aware about bringing their carbon bikes anywhere near the leadmines until the offending rock has been dealt with..
Its not all a complete loss though as bubble wrap will be provided on race day..

Anticipating that first 'climb' into section one - bating the bike up it! smell of fear in the air and then hammering down the first part, sun baking and cutting through the leaves, then on down and 'round the tree - up the switchbacks at lightning speed. then down the otherside and up the deadly climb . . .
Can't wait. . . it's (and I've said this a million times) the best thing you'll ever do on a bike, with a bunch of people who are so great and nice that you'd want to spend the rest of the evening eating and drinking with them! lovely . . .
looking forward to this; it'll be my first club league race (first one thats timed anyway) so haven't a clue how it'll go. Flat out start to finish and see what happens!
