Rnd 1 what a great race..huge numbers, well done to the timers, racers, serving wenches in the Pub.
Me and The Mickster had a great race till he broked his chain and off I went !! fantastic stuff..thank god its back.
Hard to believe with all those people that we can have no traffic issues.

Hahahahaahahha thats the sh1t !!!!! Anyway woohoo the League of extraordinary MTB'ers is back, puntures, chains broken, heart's exploding, head fcked from the start "i'm giving up, I hate this" hahahahaha Great to see everone again I tought we might have seen a few more heads from epic DH!!! Deadly nights racing that fecker Dave pushed me all the way then I passed the Face and he passed me back then Andrew passed me then OZ passed me and last but not least Alfster got me on the last climb I had imploded at that stage. Intresting to see how the robot works everything out. thanks to timers and shouters.
That was deadly! I forgot how intense it was, I was on the verge of passing out for 90% of the time. Had a good start then burped the front wheel and struggled to get around corners with 10psi in the tire, pumped it up (thanks Dave!) and only got into my rhythm on lap 3. 4 weeks of the race bike, I was brutal on the singletrack today... at least the carbon repair job worked, everything perfect.
Still, managed to knock off 30sek of my last year's PB, bring on rd 2!
Big thanks to all who helped tonight! Especially to Shona who just took the 'puter away and sorted it from there! Also Orla, Marc, Darragh and Adrian and Jack for starting! Really appreciate it!

Well the savagery is well and truly back. Huge numbers, no crazy bottlenecks or hissy fits, really a great smooth race, well done the timers, Jack for starting and Richard for pulling it all together. Everyone was flying, my speed was circa a poor 2009 while everyone else seems to be on fire. My race was all about just completing the thing, blighted by a dropping seat post (stupid alan key QR's) and a cleat that disconnected from my right shoe but I was damned if I was going to DNF. Lots of room for improvement so bring it on baby!
results coming..but loads of 12minute somethings..very interesting reading ! 12.29 for myself acting the maggot..Jesus I am the fastest wily old fox on the planet !!
