Smithers is going to lead us on a nice 2 hour lap of Djouce (assuming he's still alive!) - leaving the carpark at 10.00am.
The pace will be steady and we will be trying very hard not to stop but we will slow on the flat bits to regroup.
I will be cycling up from Shankill, over the Leadmines, down to the Scalp, through Enniskerry and up to Djouce. Passing Rathmichael Church at 9.00am and the hill in Enniskerry at about 9.40am so if anyone fancies a longer spin stick up a post and I'll pick you up on the way!
What a day for a spin its like summer again out there!! So myself, RL, Don, Graham, RobT, Caroline, PhilT and Someone else Sorry didnt get your name headed off for a lovely spin around all that Djouce has to offer. Came across the savages only once, we picked up Andrew for a little bit too and lost PhilT to a mechanical and Robt for a while too. Great spin thanks guys for coming. I thought there would have been more as this spin is for them not me and RL, anyway your loss.
Well done Smithers - really good spin and a perfect pace! Great to see Don out on a Sunday spin again. The S2 Ladies will need to watch out next year, Caroline is flying! We lost Richard early on but we had a nice tight group so very little stopping. Fewer people than I expected but frankly it makes for a much steadier spin!
Cheers Smithers and Rich, mega spin, we went up a lot and down a lot, the roots were out in force, slippery as beejesus in parts. I've been away from Sunday spins for too long, I was in pain for much of it, and the N11 once again was pure misery. But I had an ear to ear grin once I was home. Smithers is flying on his HT, must get one of those.
sorry could not make this as only got keys to new house this week have to get ready to live in by wed ......any body want to come to a paint party ???? ...haha would of loved to do this spinn these are what I need ill defo be there next week ...
