So Jack took myself, Caroline and Orla off with Richie's big spin but we soon turned off on our own after the gaps. We turned up towards Fairycastle, they are building a walking path up, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet but it'll be fun coming down if nothing else. We headed over to Fergal's Feluga which has a very slompy start but rode well after that. then rock n rolla and back over to ewoks which was just as much fun as it was on Tues night.
dropped onto the road and headed over to the leadmine. All fine until we arrive into the start of the club course..... Someone has systematically gone along and dropped a glass beer bottle every meter and smashed it. So there is a smashed glass along the first 40-50m of the club course... Caroline go a flat pretty quickly so we walked over the rest of it. we finished the course, then over to the quarry (a couple more piles of glass when we turned right out of the last forest). finished the quarry, not before another puncture which was no doubt due to the glass, climbed up and home via Barneys.
great spin, nice pace and covered lots of ground. The glass on the club course is really sh*t. don't even know how we can deal with it--- pick it up, brush it to the side, cover it up?
there was only 4 people on this spin this morning. Are we wasting our time asking Senior members to run these then ? I know for a fact that Jack would have enjoyed the savage spin we went on.
I'm not impressed.
Thanks for a good spin jack. 3hrs40 pushing hard ( about 10 minutes of fixing punctures) I was knackered by the end. Couldn't even stay with ye on the road home!
Oh if anyone finds a small spring in the leadmines its carolines. Jack wouldn't let us look for it anymore. The state of the two of us crawling around searching. Its probably still springing around up there.
Can't understand the mentality of the feckers who smashed the glass up there. They deserve a good kick in the goolies.
