Thanks guys that was a fantastic spin, fully aware pace was slower than normal and I was still hanging on for dear life on the climbs, and thanks Richie for the encouragement! that is the kind of riding that keeps me doing this..... Yep ol race a few races this year but I wanna get fitter to do more of that sort of thing.....gonna be buzzing (or sleeping) all afternoon!!!
Great spin lads, very technical ,I ended up being 5hr 20min in the saddle and 75 km.best spin of the year by far and that Richie Byrne fella needs to slow down on the Lapierre.

savage spin with a great bunch..we lost the Culchie at the start , apparently he went back to his van for a water bottle, on a savage spin led by a man who only drinks Coffee and alchohol..
Then we did a brilliant loop on some incredibly difficult trails and back over Fairy where Disasterman fell into a big hole..I went over the bars on the Schlomp donkey and crushed my nuts ouch..
well done to Gary on his first ever savage spin..we lost him for a while then we lost Trenchy who developed a puncture , by the time we got to where I saw some old womans huge white arse , oh yes ! feckin walkers ! we were nearly down to 3 people ! ! but some day for it..the Walking pandemic is over runnign the mountains !

Ouch, but I suppose disastermen shouldn't be messing about with garmins and such trappings anyway. Spent the afternoon eating. Great stuff.

I said “Look out for the big hole!” and then I heard a big clatter, looked around and Kevin had disappeared. Luckily his Garmin broke his fall.
