Anyone out there crazy enough to be doing the Wicklow 200? Can't see it being too much better than last years wash out!!!

I agree Jackson,a handy stroll around Wickla in the sun!! Goobers,Freds,Bedwetters and charity riders need only apply.At least last year the weather conditions challenged the riders a little!

The industry would be so much better without them.

I tired to crush as many spirits as I could as I could heading north on the N11 overtaking them on the Anthem, then a few of them started following me up Red Lane, was tempted to lead them all the way into Djouce.

I met Vinnie, Skippy and Dermot ? going over the gap, Jacqui on Slieve Maan and Jackson at the end on his MTB !... chapeau of the day goes to the hero who rode the 200 on a Dublin bike.

Mick...you are a nut job, like Stewart said..3000 Customers, fair play to anybody who does this..I couldn't. I hear reports though from customers that I have sold bikes to that the very established Club people type (can be extremely arrogant at the feed stations and on the road. Apparently if you are just a regular person on a bike and you overtake a lycra clad warrior on the hills you get abuse shouted at you and if you are wearing full club kit you get to jump the queues ? anybody experience this ?

when you have 2000 people on bikes there will always be a few ******s , in general most people taking part are quite amiable. there always a few ******s who dont like to be overtaken by an mtb and i have to say orwell wheelers are the worst offenders in my experience .

Glad you enjoyed it guys!! It certainly is a great sight to see so many people (all shapes and sizes!!) out on bikes and there's always a good bit of banter along the way... I opted for a relaxing weekend in West Cork instead, batteries re-charged!! Maybe next year...
