XC bikes on the Richie Byrne training loop of hardship, every Monday, paid up members only, XC bikes only.
2 hours, no camelback
no baggies
no pumps attached to bottle cages ( if theres one thing I absolutely cannot stand and that threatens to send me in to a rage of homicide its XC bikes with anything other than a very small saddlebag, a garmin or a single 500ml bottle on them but oh no, you always get the fooking eejits with a bloody Cateye, a 2 liter saddle bag, a pump just shy of a track pump, or a fookin tube duct taped to a seatpost or two bottle cages with 1000ml bottle jammed in to them..or plain black lycra shorts, was there ever anything more offensive than plain black lycra shorts..one of the girls was wearing a pair on Monday , I won't say her name but I was tempted to get a blanket and tell her to cover herself up !! or socks you can see when you are wearing shoes ..wtf..) thank you for your patience !
Richie, you just described my entire set-up, only took the tube off the seat cos I had to put it in the tyre!!! I even leave the sleeves on my rain jacket sometimes....oooh the shame :)
Don't worry Gary he has described half the club there I'm one of them tube taped to seat ! Long socks and a pump attached to bike ill get a saddle bag some they but the pump will stay !!! Hahaha
I have two of them Zefal pumps for when I was commuting to work..I'm talking about XC racing here..its the Bushido of Cycling..all you need is a steely glare and a precise weapon made of Carbon...abandon those hopeless fudge packing full suss race machines..they are for arse bandits and toilet pirates !
the latest thing that drives me mental is people cycling with those poxy compression shin things..I swear that if any of you turn up to a race in them...you're dead !!
And those nose strips..WTF !!!!
No compression socks but I love the nose strips, when you have feck all sinuses breathing helps..... You got a carbon fibre frame for me, I wanna put some 650b's in :)

are you nuts..I don't hate anything , I just rant for entertainment , I don't even hate Sean anymore , I don't even hate Gergal ( thats Gerry and Fergal ) but I do pity them supercool fun guys , ambivalence is for steamers, I think we have finally discovered our first openly gay mtbers,..I think thats an oxymoron though ..I take sides , if everybody just took sides life would be simpler..you wake up in the morning and decide what side you are going to take..I sometimes even take the side of things I don't like but as I am insane with passion for everything, it doesnt matter..Gary, if I see you with one of those nose strips you are getting a kick in the bollix, the bible demands it..I like 650b..I can't wait for them..
