New Year's Day road spin.

Going for a road spin in the morning at about 9am if anyone fancies it. About 60/70kms at a steady pace.
I am going from Balycullen out towards Enniskerry so can stop at Lambs or Kilternan if that suits.

I'll try but it's a bit early for my last day off so don't wait for me if I'm not there by 9:15!

Nice old spin with Steo, Max and Richard. We lost Richard before Roundwood but continued on taking it easy as there was some very slippy roads on the way to roundwood and we saw a Van upside down in a ditch and the fire brigade and guards trying to clean an oil spill on the road back towards Enniskerry.

Yeh .... lost interest big time after 2 or 3 rear slides between Djouce and Ballinastoe! Roads were really lethal, black ice everywhere. Just wasn't comfortable! Had to wait for 20 minutes down past Robin's as the Fire Brigade pulled an upside down Garda 4x4 out of the ditch (that's what caused the oil spill Gar!). Went down and did a bit of a loop around Killiney ..... feeling very fat! Thanks lads

fair play lads..if its any consolation Richard, I feel very fat and very ill !

yeah i think so ! the worse part is not being able to ride my bike..and I have a cough that would bring tears to your eyes ! but i'll get back soon enough !

If it's down in your chest Richie, best to leave it out for a few days! Loads of people sick at the moment!

Great spin and a beautiful morning for it, thanks Gareth!
It was my longest spin since the ROC and my legs started to give up on me after the 40k mark, then the coffee and a scone in the Gala Shop revived me and I had a lovely blast down to Dundrum and home.
What ice? Gareth seemed to have been sliding all over the place but compared to the Sunday Carrick spin my bike felt nailed to the tarmac, I honestly didn't think it was bad at all!
Then we came across 2 different collisions with a tinker van (sorry Steo! :) upside down and a Gadra car on a car trailer... then the oil spill close to Robin's gaff. Fun!
Can't wait for more road on Thursday.

Tinkers dont drive vans anymore Max,they drive range rovers !!...plus it was an 08,which is far to old for a tinker to be driving!..anyway great spin and a lovely morning to be out on the bike with great company too..its been a while since ive done a spin with RL...cheers Gareth for leading the spin,it was a goodin.

Richie, use a steam inhalation of eucalyptus and lavender oil. It'l loosen all the crap in your chest helping to clear the infection.
