Hello skidders, the weather is to be brutal this week but thats not going to stop us !
Monday January 28th - 6.30 Kilternan for the Leadmines skill session , we will just ride technical stuff for a few weeks, no racing ahead , until the days stretch out, then its drills and then its time for the Big Mountains of Wickow !
Tuesday January 29th - 6.30 Lamb Doyles -It will be wet but we will stay low in the trees and practice our scandanavian flicks - for the animals
Wednesday January 30th - 6.30 Lamb Doyles - Its to be better so we will see how we get on, this is my normal superstar spin
THursday January 30th - 6.00 Taylors with the Ru lad
Friday 1st Feb 7.00 DCBMX with me and the Polish Horse Gobbler
Saturday 2nd Feb - 9.00 Road spin from the Giant Store - 2 hours improvers !
Sunday 3rd Feb - The Blitz of Ballinastoe
well that was a very wet mucky spin with some savage intervals , everybody was flying until poor Carol ripped here rear mech off and I pushed her home , only me ,Carol,Shona,Iomair and Dermot..lets see more of the ladies and the young lads on these..
Training has begun..
some craic tonight with Bob Seymour toying with us for the whole night..me, Dan, Simon, Steo, Phil.Annesley, Bob, Mick Burton, Evan, Clom, Niall Quinlan, Vinnie Fitz stayed low in the trees and had a great spin..then Evan, Mick and Robin took Phil and Steo back up the mountain to do god knows what to them..Fair play to Robin , theres not many superstars who would grace another club with their presence and not murder them !!
Well that was a deadly all round spin and a savage loop put together by Richie as usual..i done an extra half hour with phil and Robin as i thought id a bit more in the tank,got a punture on the way back down for my troubles and fair play to Robin he came all the way back.
Even though Robin 'spared 'us, I found that tough going but its always great to be out on these spins with a super gang. The low route worked brilliantly, and was nice and toasty for a change. Thanks.
Great spin this evening up in a nice warm Ticknock... Me, Erica, Shona, Simo, Canto, Gary, Ronan and Claire climbed up past the stone masons, loop of the old Mad course then down Aggro and across Ticknock, up Metro lower and across to Toms up the switchback climb and over to the masts. Loop of Metro upper back to the masts and down T Connector and into Rock N Roll. Down the fire road a bit to the jacuzzi and the rocky descent down to the back of the Blue'r. Great gang out. Ronan is flyin. Lost Simo and Claire early on (very suspicious) and then Shona bailed early cause Jack rang wanting his jellied eels for dinner... Thanks folks
Deadly run Oscar, kept us on dry trails for most of the spin, I had to use my Star Wars skills to try & keep up with ya on the downhills. Some serious stunt moves out of Canto tonight. Great to see all the girls out although we missed Carol & not forgetting you Richie. Cheers guys, super spin
Yep excellent route tonight thanks to Oz !! Great crew out ......I was so mesmerised by Ronans flashy riding that i decided to fling myself off a 2FT drop onto a rock path which would normally have resulted in a trip to A&E but that 29er Anthem just continued to gain momentum !! It needs reigns not brakes ....I would say it would be a scary quick bike in the hands of a savage rider !!! Defo something dodge about Simon and Claire leaving early .. Thanks folks
