Usual Tuesday mountain adventure taking in Three Rock, Trabadden, Cruagh and Massey’s.

The ground will be frozen so it will be super grippy and gnarly to the max.

A great spin, with Colm and Mick. Just stayed on three rock but it was snowy, icy and a bit muddy in places.... in fact very icy on the metros I think all of us had falls...

That was an adventure alright! Maybe not super grippy but definitely super gnarly. We went up Ticknock and straight onto upper Metro. There were sheets of black ice in random places; you just couldn’t tell if it was a liquid puddle or solid ice. A few metres on it would be dry and dusty and then wet and slompy. It was a very strange mix of conditions so it was decided not to go over towards TraBADden. Back up the fire road and down the big jump trail, climb back up and over to MAD’s trail and eventually on to the fire road past Fred’s field. Climb back up and over to T-Connector where we infiltrated a big group of riders, blitzed down Rock’n’Rolla and left them for dust. On to the NPS trail and almost a sprint up the Purple Road. Down Lower Metro in slow motion because of the ice and then a blast down the frozen but grippy Dream Track. Four climbs and two hours of non-stop action. Jack and Mick just don’t hang around.

That was an interesting spin for sure with a mixture of trail conditions. We all had a few moments and I've a few bruises this morning to prove it. But it was all good fun. Thanks lads and enjoy the big apple Colm.
