Marathon Training Spin - 9.30am Sunday 28th - Shankill Village

Between now and the ROC in October I'm going to be doing some Marathon training spins. Not particularly technical or fast but they will be fairly long and steady with plenty of climbing. I'll try to be offroad as much as possible but there will be a fair bit of road where necessary! I'm happy to ride on my own but would be glad of company!

On Sunday I'll be starting in Shankill and going via Rathmichael to the Leadmines, then to Enniskerry, Djouce and Maulin returning on a different route where possible. I promise there will some places you have not been before!
Approx 50-60kms, 1500mts climbing at an average speed of 15kph - so 3.5/4 hours moving!

Everyone is welcome but you must be self sufficient - we won't be stopping unless we've had to call an ambulance!

Starting from a small parking area directly behind the car park of Bradys pub in the middle of Shankill village. A bit awkward to get to but the main pub car park is closed until later in the morning. Access is down the small road between the row of shops and the Credit Union, opposite the Tesco Express. Ah Canto good to see ya back on the bike hope the arm is good! I'm going to head along to this one too! See ya in the morning!
Sounds good Richard, but why do we need to do training spins for the ROC? Sure it'll be grand.....
I'm busy getting unfit in China at the moment. So id say ill wait till after the coolee killer at least before I join you.
Nah .... you'll be grand Orla .... sure as long as you get a few of your late night swims while we're over there, that'll be training enough!
