Marathon Training Spin Part 2 - Sunday August 4th - Shankill Village

After a great spin yesterday we're going to continue with "more of the same" next week!

From Shankill - Leadmines - Killegar - Glencullen - 3 Rock - Parts of Tuesday Loop ..... and beyond! The long range forecast isn't great so we may alter this a bit if required!

Again 50-60kms and 1500mts of climbing.

You must be self sufficient and we'll only be stopping for emergencies! (Punctures do not count as emergencies!!)

These spins are long but not particularly fast or technically difficult, and there are plenty of places to cut off if you've had enough, so feel free to come along!

These are great spins, bring an extra set of legs mine broke near the end of yesterday spin . A true test of your endurance metal.
Not exactly being swamped with replies here ladies and gents! If nobody fancies it I'll probably head out myself a bit earlier?
Richard I was going to head out with you my bike is in getting new cassette chain , If I get it back I will let you know and do this with you.
Sorry, not about for this one Richard, have to head to a christening. Done a lonely one on my own around Trooperstown and Glendo, great training area!
No worries at all lads - I know there'll be plenty of sore heads in the morning and I'm perfectly happy to head out on my own!
Well just myself, Phil T and Redmond but a really enjoyable spin none the less!
Steady pace but no hanging around and plenty of climbing! Phil headed off as we got to the end of Legends and myself and Red went on over Prince Willies, down Bag of Chips (I'm actually riding all of it now!!) and then picked up the Wicklow Way from the Glencree Road and headed along the river and then through Powerscourt to Enniskerry! Then back to the Leadmines and home!
65kms and over 1600mts of climbing - feeling much better today!
Thanks Lads!

Far too slow to ever win anything Max but it'd be nice to surprise a few of the hares towards the end of the Marathon Champs!
