Yay! Wednesday spins are back won't be long before we'll need the lights... Can't make this Wednesday but lookin forward to this weekly jaunt :) can I do it backwards???
Nice little group out tonight, special guest appearence from an old face AdamT. So plodding around the lovely dry trails of the lead mines, until........ starting from a standstill I managed to impale the inside of my forearm on a branch stump. Luckily Erica's quick thinking and freebie gauze had me bandadged up in seconds.
Just back from A&E in James (scarey place), had triage nurse look at it and clean it up, unfortunately the wait time to see a doctor for stitches is 5 hours. So I'm home now and will go back in the morning when they have people who just do stitches.
And before u all go on about swift care, the website said it would cost €125 for consultation the another €60 for the actual stitches!!!!!!!!!
awesome spin, pity about Shona's arm! Oz looked like the main character from a horror movie at the end of the quarry trail. the gorse wasn't anyone's friend last night. lots of 'ouch' moments.
The speed was frenetic in parts, tyres were sticking to everything. which was 'mint'. Last night was one of these 'Peak Experiences' I really enjoyed it. I was replaying the spin in my head as I slept! wrecked this morning. What fun though, great to see all the gang, including Adam, Andy, Shona, Erica, Oz, freaking awesome Wednesday night spin!
Now, see what happens when you don't show up to keep everyone in check! Ill be on this spin from next week with a bit of luck. Hope you're ok Shona, I don't know what it is about A&E departments in Dublin but why is it never full of well heeled individuals from more affluent areas. Are people from disadvantaged areas just more susceptible to serious accidents or what??? That could nearly be the subject of another thesis get well soon Shona
