Work sucks!Deadly spin, great bunch out, seemed fast from the off, but by the time we reached the top of Tom’s watery switchbacks we were 3 min’s slower – I suppose that was due to the amount of tree hugging, I got a nasty slap – which in turn cause much stacking up behind me! sorry folks! I think I need to let some air out of that front tyre! Slippery-dippery fun!
we started off with Caroline, me, Hari, Andy, Al, Orla and Conor, it was all pretty civilised until Hari left. after we lost him we headed up the old WW to the drainage ditches which was all going well til Caroline got a puncture. whilst waiting for her Al had a jacket emergency that took 3 people to fix, I fell off my bike from standing still and Ben talked a lot of rubbish!
only to get to the end of the woccas and Ben got a flat, he started off spinning the wheel hoping for the goo to seal it, as any good biker with tubeless tires would do. This failed so he went down the old school route only to see there was no feckin goo in the tires at all. oh how we laughed!!!
finally got to legends with everyone being very sheepish in case of another puncture. then I crashed into a tree, but protected my new bike by wrapping myself around it. Same feckin place every week!!!
after that we have an uneventful cycle back to the cars, thank god!!!

What a night! It all started when super intendent detecive Al arrived to check our tax and nct were up to date. Philisopher harri gave us a brief lecture about the evolution of the wheel. We all had a go on shonas super new bike while al breathalised her. She was over the legal limit so we all gave her a high 5 and left the carpark. Our E.t.a at rock n rolla was minus 1 minute, we sucessfully made ut around without getting lost this week. Saint harri went chasing trouser snakes out of the forest in attempt to banish them forever, this frightened conor, so much so he temporarly forgot how to cycle and binned himself. Andy also crashed but nobody noticed, probably because he is so short and insignificant. Ben took the lead for approx 2.5 seconds and got the lads lost. Harri hugged a tree and alan got down on one knee to propose to ben. We stopped for jellies and ditched harri, he was too much of a liability! Over the waterbars. I heard a hissssssssss and thought it was a trouser snake but i had punctured. I called upon my f1 pit crew, orla and conor,s to change the tube while i sat and watched. Over the woccas, this time ben punctured. We all nearly froze while he had some hanky panky with the pump. Down legends and home.

Great report Caroline! You should be a writer. It was great fun as usual. Thanks Shona, Ben and Andy for helping fix the zip on my jacket. Going to my hometown of Sligo this weekend so won't be around for the spin.
