That was a great little spin.
The club course is a masterpiece of trail building. Pretty much entirely ridable no matter how bad the conditions. Obviously suits Shona as well, she was flying.
Got most of the way up Carrickgolligan before the wheel started slipping. I will defeat that climb again soon. Made a total pigs ear of the descent, which was annoying. Can't blame the conditions either. Gav and Al just nailed it.
The snowy lash from the tower down to the glass factory was just so much fun. Fair play to Dave for getting down with a failing light.
For the entire spin I couldn't change gears, front or back. Jaysus it was a nightmare. Agonising on the climbs, no bite on the descents. Then cycling home afterwards something goes click and it all works fine! ******* yoke. On the plus side I've learnt to never ever under any circumstances try single speed mountain biking.

Jaysis Cathal, how long have those gears been acting up? Time to hand that bike in to the bike rack.
Much as I'd like to blame the bike it was really my fault; hadn't oiled it properly after last weeks soaking.
pain and suffering for me all night. I really paid for not riding my xc bike since before xmas. I got the knock on the road back. The descent to the glass factory was fun. Hadn't ridden it in about 10 years. Katty Gallaghers was fun with my seat stuck up, no idea how ross does it.
Ye great spin even if i found the limitation of my old light set, some "use the force" riding on the way down to the glass factory.Time to up grade me thinks. dave
