forgot to charge my light ;-( next week for sure!!!!

I have been given a rental car to use while my own car is being repaired. I'm afraid of scratching the rental with my bike as they will charge me for it. It's a hatchback and my bike is filthy at the moment. I'll take the bike rack out of storage but can I be sure I won't scratch the car, I'm as clumsy as a drunk donkey in a fine china shop.
