Well now. Harri, Erica, Caroline and I left the car park and headed up past the Blue Light and past the goat Taj Mahal and that's as far as I got.
Poxy broken bike.
Actually a great night for a spin, warm and mostly sunny, hope you all enjoyed it.
that was a deadly spin Gar - but like I said you're kicking out too much power - pulling the derailleur clean off the bike and lodging the chain into the space between the spokes and the cassette. You need to lay off the steroids!
The spin was great - it rained, it shone, it was a bit fast in parts I was gulping air to keep up! It still wasn't fast enough for Oz who sped off to buy some chips and a flagon of cider to warm up. The ladies were flying and off in the distance as I struggled to keep up! the down parts were brilliant, sometimes using the brakes was just useless the bike would pick up speed! hilarious fun, and oh yeah I had a near death experience on the middle metro - to which everyone laughed hysterically. I was so freaking lucky not to have been totaled!
some great trails ridden at top speed - great fun, hopefully I'll have something in the tank for tonight and manage some 15 minute laps! thanks all - it was deadly fun! Wednesday mania! Woo-Hoo
great spin lastnight - as much non-stop as possible. We covered a fair bit in the time we were out. It was wet and slippery and we had some skiddery sideways action. What more could you ask for on a wed evening!
Pity about Gareth.........in general!!!
Great spin, the boys cried off one by one and it was just me and Caroline in the end
Harri was like a kid on skittles after that crash, mega hyper, high fiving trees and stuff. Pity about your bike garreth, I have the same problem sometimes with the too much power, don't beat yourself up over it :)
I miss the Wednesday spins . I don't think I would be able to race on Thursday if I did Wednesday spin, or is a case of mind over body? What am I REALLY capable of? Can anyone recommend any steroids that would help?
