Great race today and a beautiful spring day! 20 riders in A4 and about 30 in mine (A2/A3).
Started in the A2 bunch 30sec behind the A3 so the first few laps were like a mad chase. Then it settled down again and when I got my strength back I attacked and 2 young lads joined me. We were away for 2-3 laps but the lads were riding too hard for me so I dropped back to the main bunch. The break didn't stick anyway it was too early in the race. There were a few attacks later on and one of them was successful, 2 juniors again from Lucan. There was a sprint for 3rd but I had no legs left after all the chasing so just rolled in.
I'd highly recommend these if there are any more this year, closed circuit, no traffic, no potholes or curbs, fast honest racing.
