Thursday 17th: Cooley Thriller Loop @9.30am

Erica and I are doing a lap of the Cooley Thriller on Thursday. Leaving the community centre at 9.30. Its 50 kn with 1600 m of climbing. Not suitable for beginners. Must be self sufficient.

Never done the Cooleys so I'm thinking about doing this. Oz, what time would I need to be leaving Ashtown and what time do you think we would be back home by? Need to fill out a permission slip ;-)

Around 1 hour 45 min drive there. Lap takes around 4 hours depending how fast you go. No more than 5 hours id say.

Not sure. Depends on weather. Planning on a few "trips" next week. Rostrevor, Mt Leinster etc...
