that was a proper XC Spin from the Stone Age!
Some craic going over all the old trails around Rath Michael, Caroline got dog poo on her hand and wiped it all over the shouty ladies face 'You shouldn't be in here, it's against the law, your illegal' will ring in my ears for a while yet.
The trails as promised we're more slidderly than an oul one's kiss. I felt like someone had put vasoline all my bike. Oz didn't notice cause he's pro, he rode everything like it was dry, cause that's how he rolls - literally.
so we skipped the road past yer man from Def Lappard (ask your parents - a band from the 80s / 90s who knows; men wearing too much denim ladies shoes and long hair) house as the rain was misty as all heck so there wouldn't be a view - so over to the scalp then up and around to the walkers trail - no walkers today - too slippy for that nonsense - so we rode the daylights out of it, it was at this point I noticed my front tire wanted to right when I wanted to go left and vice versa, it may have been the fairies, the moss, the rain, the rocks, anyone's guess. then down the mud of shame to the fireroad of forgiveness. then a lash at the jump trail - Oz showing us how to hit the gap XC styleeeee. Super cool
then over to Leadmines some bish-bash-bosh trails, down Willets, over to Rathmicheal, mud of unending sideways action then back up the gravel for some Strava pain, then round the fairy forts, back up Wilets Part Deux, then Boxing ring, which was slipperyer than an eels handshake, then the lady of exception to MTBers, then club course and home

I'm also sorry I missed this, sounded deadly. Was only saying that it's been all quiet on the psycho walker front recently, nothing like one to make a spin even more memorable!
That was a brilliant spin. I thought the slippy ground made it more fun.
Oz and I were at the front so came upon that woman from behind in stealth mode hoping she wouldn't notice us. No such luck. As soon as she saw us she kicked off.
I was hoping everyone would ignore her but it sound like a bag of cats fighting from behind as she got more and more wound up. Poor Caroline was at the back so got the worst of it. The woman stood in her way and held onto her handlebars shouting at her. That was a bit too much.
No more drama after that, just great trails and great craic.
Everyone was admiring Gareth's enduro shorts.
