Spin Saturday @9.30am: Djouce

I can't make Pauls long spin as I don't have the time so I plan to do approx 2-3 hours around ticknock. I don't think there will be a usual saturday spin as the cyclocross is on sunday. If any of the usual spin leaders post up a saturday spin ill cancel this. Also it will be the usual saturday pace & noone will be left behind, - i've rested today from the gym and my commute & had epsom salt baths so very up for a good blast around ticknock! Post if u are joining me.

What about djouce? I know a good bit of it now but may need a little help on the route - cud do nps route , xtc , phantom , bench cut etc. Loads to do around there & maybe out past powerscourt

Change to plans....won't make it to Djouce woods tomorrow

Well that was unlucky today, headed off with alan potter & rory in the rain & schlomp. Alan said he had done a great route of approx 3 hrs with harri & trenchy recently so we were really looking forward to doing that. Things got cut short for me when i did a little slip on the wet on the trail wit all the switch backs & a baby topple into the side on the right & when i pulled my handlebar back up my shifter snapped off - think it got stuck on something. Anyway into expert cycles where the amazing robin seymour sorted the bike for me & i can head out wit the girls on it tmw. So rory & alan hope u had a great one & alan i hope u can show me that route again!

Yeah that was unfortunate Caroline. There were very slippy roots coming down XTC and Benchcut. Nearly lost it a couple of times too.

The route we took was mostly out in the open so probably not the best choice in that wet weather.

Anyways we made the most of it and enjoyed doing all the jumps, even the gap jump at the end. Met Leah and Ronan beside Timmons seesaw.

There is always next time Caroline, dont worry.
